King Starters
#1 King's Dragon Quest (TAGS: ADVENTURE/FANTASY/ACTION/DRAGONS)
A man with a powerful spirit and aura arrived at foreign land. His wild smile and undefeated eyes complimented his proud stature. His golden and swept-back hair shined in the risen and glaring sun. His strange sense of fashion with his proud purple shirt revealing his muscular and well-toned tanned skin complimented the powerful aura around him. Proud and powerful, he stood before a giant mountain that was nearby a local village. His arms were crossed across his chest, mighty and large. His posture was tall and intimidating. His gray eyes pierced the heavens and his smile complimented its fierce attitude.
There was only a single reason for his grand demeanor. Right now, he is about to face a mighty dragon. For reasons unknown to him, his greatest desire is to combat against the magnificient fire-breathing race and emerge victorious. Ever since his experiment granted him strange transformations and power, he yearned to meet a dragon, and now was his chance to face against the indomitable foe. He lunged forward to attack, ready to sink his fists into its scales. After an immeasurable amount of time passed by, he laid defeated and unconscious on the flat ground. Just before his loss, the dragon knocked him off the mountain. Although his survival of falling off from great heights is plausible, he was helpless.
#1.2 King's Dragon Quest FANTASY:
(At the request of a few, this is for the people who want to roleplay as the dragon.)
#2 King of Fighting (Tags: MODERN/ACTION/UNDERWORLD)
Hidden from the surface, a dangerous yet popular activity took place in the world's more darker places, both literally and figuratively. Well-put away from the sights of normal people, and for good reason, this activity soon became the hobby of uncountable beings. All those who joined and stayed in this fiesta could never be considered normal, no matter what kind of life they return to. Like moths to a bright light, they all gather to this one event. The blood-boiling excitement, the estatic-shrieking crowds, and the bone-cracking bashes of fists all added to the popular 'Death Cage.' A cliche name, but suited for attracting and holding customers to remember the name. Made through its riches from bets, Death Cage was no where near shutting down.
"AND HE TAKES THE LEAD YET AGAIN!" A single announcer roared at the current match. In the arena that held metal fences for walls, only one man would walk out. This man was none other than King, the brawler who ruled Death Cage. A man of tall and muscular proportions, his tanned skin, blonde unkempt but swept-back hair, and his proud demeanor gave birth to the password needed to enter the place. A popular Champion who knew how to keep things interesting, King stepped on his unconscious enemy, showing off his dominance and victory with raised arms and a mighty roar.
#3 Rich but poor (TAGS: MODERN/WEALTHY/BALL/SCHOOL)
In a strange, alternative world lies a universe where King is not King but, but Richard Powers. He has no special powers, nor has he underwent any sort of experiment. Instead, he lives off the wealth of his parents and endures the daunting tasks they force upon him. And thus, today lies the tale of a latent beast.
In the off distance stood an obviously uninterested and bored male. Standing on a decent height he strolled across the elegant ball with the classic black tuxedo without any kind of tails and a purple tie neatly tucked in. His golden hair was naturally swept back, but something in those stubborn genes refused to allow any sort of hair gel to keep it down so instead, it was nice and spiky along with a silver ring earring. His physical features consisted of a tanned yet golden individual with a decent height with an attractive face. He was the very definition of a tall, dark, and handsome individual, yet he compared his disinterest with a lazy lion. In order to pass the time, he made a habit of standing alone in corners and leaving whenever someone wanted to approach him or quickly told them off, walked around aimlessly, or stood near the consumables and munching on the treats even when he wasn't hungry. Speaking of which, he felt like drinking, but he was not allowed any sort of alcoholic beverages until the party was over, and so, he settled with what was avaliable. The only thing was that there was somebody in the way in front of the bowl of punch and he did not want to walk the other way just to avoid someone. And so with a little sigh he approached the person and asked, "Hey, what kind of drinks they servin'?"
#4 King of War (Tags: WAR/MILITARY/KINGDOM/OPEN)
Another battle, another victory. Exhausted yet relieved from yet another fight, one man returned from the battlefields with sensation of a king. Ironically, his codename was "King," given to him by his friends for his arrogant and brash attitude and tendency to overpower his foes. Eventually, the nickname stuck onto him, and as thus requested it in his first Secret Ops mission. The name gave him power, the name gave him strength, the name gave him victory. And now, the name gave him memories. He was the only man who survived his Secret Ops mission, all of whom consisted of his closest and only friends to boost morale and teamwork. One wrong move, and everything was over. The mission was completed, but at the price of more lives. King wished to leave the military, but such action would be an insult to his friends, and thus he held the duty to end the war.
After every battle, King was known to visit the cemetary of where all of his allies have been honored. Whether or talked or stayed completely silent depended on the day. Today however, he was suppose to receive a message for yet another mission. Occupied by his own habits, he did not see the letter, but someone was sent to give King the mission.
CHESTER STARTERS
#1: Vampire Day (TAGS: MYSTERY/MODERN/VAMPIRE)
A lone figure, high above the grounds, was peacefully resting on a tall building. The man was tall and slender with a glamorous sense of fashion and even looked like a sarcastic, but easily amused individual. He was indeed a strange individual, yet held no offense to it. To him, his mysterious presence was only natural, as he was not a human. He was Vladimir Kaiser der Nacht Vampir, the Emperor of Night Vampires, or in other words, the next lord of all vampires. Instead of taking the responsiblity to become recognized as the ruler, he fled his home to live among the species he considered most interesting by the name of Chester, after watching a wonderful documentary of a deranged blonde female in a fantasy talking to a disappearing purple cat. For centuries he was able to avoid or deflect any scouts or mercanaries his family hired to capture him and return him to his rightful throne, but he knew, like all good things, that it would eventually come to an end.
He felt the presence of the person, but something seemed different. Chester could not tell whether or not this person was someone hired by his family to bring him back, or wanted something else entirely. Either way, he was not intimidated. With no sense of arrogance, he knew that the only creatures powerful enough to defeat him were his fellow breathen, or a rare individual of great power. Either way, Chester greeted them peacefully without looking back. "A beautiful day, no? I enjoy these types of scenary, but I suppose you do not share my sentiment. So, how may I help you?"
#2: Modern Day (TAGS: MODERN/VAMPIRE/NO SPARKLES)
Everything was within his view. Everything felt like it was within his grasp. Everything amused him. That is, within the human world. A mysterious figure sat on the edges of a lone roof top, enjoying the gentle breeze of the wind. Here he was observing every single movement of every single person in this busy yet lively city. He patiently waited for his chance to appear, his chance to have fun. He only needed to bring out the energy from one specific individual out of everybody in the crowd.
There. There was his chance. He stood up eagerly, slowly leaning forward, and then fell at great speed. His smile never wavered, as if he was ready to embrace what came next. The people unfortunate to see him fall stared at bewilderment, some almost shrieking. However, just as soon as he was about to reach the floor, he vanished. The mysterious man then reappeared behind a certain person. He gently took hold of the shoulders and spoke, "Pardon me. Shall we have fun today?"
#3: Monster Day (TAGS: MODERN/VAMPIRE/MONSTERS/OPEN)
The air tasted different today. A disturbance in the force. Due to his countless years of obversation in the human world, Chester was able to decipher even the slightest hint of an anomaly. The change was not considered worthy to act upon if it meant it held no threat to the populace; quite the opposite. The abnormal situation that seized even his attention meant only one fact: a monster arrived to ruin his beloved race. The people longer held the sweet necter of life that humans brought forth through each day, instead, the taste of despair could be felt.
Chester, as a vampire, can be considered a monster. His race was not of demons or angels, gods or spirits, but simply, monsters. The strange aura he felt did not belong to a peaceful monster either, instead, he could feel its hostility. Despite his keen intellect and senses, he could not depict which race the monster belonged to. It could have been a Frankenstein, a werewolf, or even a chupacrabra for all he knew. Either way, he knew it must be vanquished, and thus, Chester disappeared into the night, searching for the said creature.
REYNALD STARTERS
#1 Inkeeper (TAGS: ADVENTURE/FANTASY/OPEN)
A chill forced his spine to shiver. His instincts were gnawing on his brain, signaling a disturbance in the force. His brain in response, pulsed on his cranium, each louder and stronger than the last. If not for his collected attitude, he would have submitted to the displeasurable feeling. instead, he listened to his body's memories and recollected his own. It was a familiar feeling, one that he felt was of the atmost importance. Eventually, he decided to ponder upon it later as he wished to rest at a nearby inn.
He then returned to a nearby town, but something didn't sit with him. There was a different feeling in the air. He then asked around the neighborhood and its friendly citizens for information, disguised as a foreigner to the land. Once he got what he wanted to hear, the red stranger stopped off at the inn. He was expecting someone to meet him here, but the strangest thing was that he did not know who to expect. Whether it'd be a informant, an assassin, or even a peddler, Reynard was told by his contact to arrive at the inn and wait.
#2 Glorious Kingdom (TAGS: FEUDAL/MEDIEVAL/ADVENTURE/FANTASY)
An age of prosperity and peace. The kingdom's strongest weapon was its ability to provide protection and freedom. The kingdom of Baan was a glorious one, as many would come to agree. At its head, the happy people were ruled by the benevolent queen Vixen, and her lawfully wedded husband, king Reynard. The people and the military were skeptical at first to calling Reynard their rightful king due to his mysterious background and lack of social skills. As time flew however, they began to embrace their strange king and accepted him, especially after the event called the Flare of Revenge. The Kingdom was attacked by another kingdom that wished to expand its lands. The kingdom of Baan, due to its priority on peace, had little means to protect itself against their militarized opponents, and thus, were left in defeat. Reynard, angered by his home's crumbling self, marched to the invader's territories singiehandedly and defeated them all with his magic in the name of his kingdom. The people respect him from thereon, but soon forgot his tales.
After the assassination by burning of the fair queen Vixen, the guilt was placed upon Reynard. He was forced to flee as he did not desire fighting against the people despite, and now wanted for the crimes of murdering the queen of Baan and his criminal use of magic. Reynard was a wanted man, and in order to avoid his persecutors, he traveled the world in secrecy as bounter hunters and knights of his kingdom alike were hunting him, struggling to find his new identity.
He was last seen taking refuge into an abandoned city that now became nothing but rubbles and ruins. The price on his head was extremely high, and anyone was permitted to test their luck to capture the former king for double the money, or kill him and bring his corpse to the kingdom.
